A friend recently served me a compliment that I took to heart. She said, “You’re so full of crazy ideas, but I bet you could get a lot of people on board with your version.” I liked that thought. I’ve stewed on it for a few months. I mean…I’ve got no talent to speak of but I do know this: I’m good at just about everything I try, but not not exceptional at anything. To me though, that’s my strong point and what compels people to think I’m a little off kilter especially at my age, which I won’t reveal to you as ladies should never do that. Fuck it..I’m almost 48.
Does that bother you?
Does it bother me to think that people half my age might not have nice things to say about the old lady if I reveal that I’m a child of 1970?
Yes.
I have a fear of getting old, becoming irrelevant, having no more skin in the game. I can’t let this happen to me, so regardless of who comes here I will come here daily to post and work and play. And someday when the real dementia gets me I can come here to look back on how much fun I’ve had in my life and my three amazing daughters Naomi, Natalie, and Bella, can wipe the drool from my face as I relive my life here.
